LITTLE ROCK — Arkansas Business Publishing Group of Little Rock has named Mitch Bettis as the company's general manager and as publisher of Arkansas Business newspaper.
Bettis is currently regional publisher for New York-based Gatehouse Media, where he has overseen the company's 19 print and digital products in Arkansas and northern Louisiana. Prior to that, Bettis served as general manager of Gatehouse's Lake Media operations in central Missouri.
Bettis will begin work Feb. 25. He replaces publisher and general manager Jeff Hankins, who left the company last year to take a job with Arkansas State University.
Bettis is a graduate of Ouachita Baptist University, where he has also taught courses in public relations, advertising, multimedia communication, news and photojournalism.
