LITTLE ROCK — FORREST CITY - Martha and O.J. Gandy will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Feb. 24 with a reception for family and friends at Forrest City Country Club. The couple was married Feb. 23, 1953. She is the former Martha Sweet. He is a retired farmer. They are the parents of Jay Gandy of Little Rock and Ree Routon of Forrest City. The couple have five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Bobbie and Frank Highfill of Little Rock will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary from 2 to 6 p.m. Saturday at the home of their daughter, Marti McDonald of Little Rock. She is the former Bobbie Coates. He is a contractor and carpenter with Frank Highfill Construction. They are also the parents of Rob Highfill of Orlando, Fla., and Todd Highfill of Lakeland, Tenn. The couple have two grandchildren.

Nina and Richard Thompson of Little Rock will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary. The couple were married Feb. 18, 1963. She is the former Nina Owens and retired from L’Oreal Cosmetics. He is retired from Wonder Bread, Weyerhaeuser and Centers for Youth and Family. They are the parents of Michelle Griffin, Richard Thompson Jr. and Ricanna Smith, all of Little Rock. The couple have 16 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Ann and Jim Bryan of Little Rock celebrated their 50 wedding anniversary with a trip to Carmel Valley Ranch Resort, Carmel, Calif., followed by a reception at Robinwood Bed and Breakfast in Little Rock. The couple were married Feb. 6, 1963. She is the former Ann Bell and a retired teacher. He is senior vice president of Crews and Associates. They are the parents of Dr. Jim W. Bryan IV and David “Chris” Bryan, both of Little Rock. The couple have three grandchildren.

ARKADELPHIA - Miriam and Elendle Buck will celebrate their 55th wedding anniversary Thursday with family. The couple were married Feb. 21, 1958. She retired as a salesperson from West Department Store and he retired as a police officer from Arkadelphia Police Department.
