LITTLE ROCK — There were hirsute men in harlequin togs, kinchins hitchin’ rides on horses, classy cyclists wearing tweed and a bizarro warrior class wielding polo mallets, masked men and women throwing beads and man’s best friends lassoed to leashes but leading the march. Such was the scene on back-to-back days last weekend, on Main streets north and south of the river, of Mardi Gras parades in the Capital City and “Dogtown.”
