JACKSONVILLE Republican Sen. John Boozman is to tour Little Rock Air Force Base and discuss changes to the base’s C-130 mission.
Arkansas’ junior senator is to tour the base Tuesday afternoon.
The visit comes as Fort Smith officials are working to plan for a future that includes a major change to its Air Force base, which is losing it’s A-10 jet mission.
Instead, the Air Force will fly drone aircraft from the base.
Changes in store in Jacksonville don’t appear to be as stark, but Boozman says he’ll discuss a reconfiguration of the mission.
