The suspect in a home-invasion case out of Benton has been taken into custody in Texas.
Derek Dione Wilkerson was arrested Friday afternoon in Dallas by a U.S. Marshals task force in the area, according to a statement from the Saline County sheriff's office.
Wilkerson is accused of breaking into a home at 11174 Interstate 30 in Saline County and forcing the occupants to give him money and other items. Authorities say he forced the victims to then load the goods into their car, a 2004 Ford Mustang, before he left the scene in it.
The victims identified Wilkerson in a photo lineup, deputies said.
Wilkerson faces multiple charges in Saline County, including two counts of residential burglary, aggravated assault, terroristic threatening, kidnapping, aggravated robbery, false imprisonment, breaking and entering, and theft of property.
