Colorado teen on police radar before slaying arrest

— An 18-year-old accused of kidnapping and killing a suburban Denver school girl can be heard telling a 911 dispatcher that he murdered her.

A prosecutor played a recording of the call Friday at a hearing at which a judge decided there’s enough evidence for Austin Sigg to stand trial in the death of Jessica Ridgeway and an attack on a jogger months earlier.

Sigg’s mother had called 911 to say he had confessed to killing Jessica. She then put her son on the line, and he then says that he killed Jessica.

Sigg also suggested that he was responsible for the attack on the jogger.

Sigg is charged with murder, kidnapping, sexual assault and robbery. Prosecutors also added three counts of sexual exploitation of a child because investigators in the case allegedly found child pornography.
