Search to resume for man missing in river

— Recovery crews are headed to eastern Arkansas this weekend to resume the search for the body of a police officer missing since he fell into St. Francis River six weeks ago.

Shane Dallas of the St. Francis County Office of Emergency Management says about 150 people will assist in the search for Deputy Nick Swink, who disappeared Jan. 11.

The Times-Herald reported that crews will search a 12-mile stretch of the river beginning Saturday. Cadaver dogs and dive teams will also be involved in the recovery effort.

Officials say Swink was with friends and not on duty when he fell in the water.

Swink worked four years with the Wynne Police Department and was scheduled to start work mid-January as a deputy with the Cross County sheriff's office.
