No one was injured, but a house is considered a total loss after a fire late Tuesday morning in Little Rock.

Little Rock Fire Department crews were called to the single-story home in the 3700 block of High Drive shortly after 11 a.m.

Capt. Jason Weaver said the blaze appears to have started in or near a car in a carport attached to the home.

The resident reported hearing popping noises in the area before the fire broke out, Weaver said. The flames sent up plumes of white smoke as they burned the car and spread to the home.

Weaver said the front part of the residence had fire and heat damage, while there was smoke damage throughout the structure. Large windows in the front were broken out, and firefighters tore down pieces of the roof to access flames that spread to the attic.

The cause remains under investigation.
