NORTH LITTLE ROCK An 18-year-old driver suffered injuries believed to be minor when her Jeep veered off Batesville Pike, hit a tree and flipped.
It happened shortly after 8 a.m. in a curve in the road north of the North Little Rock Airport.
Megan Reedy, 18, was taken to UAMS Medical Center in Little Rock to be checked out, but responders on scene said she was conscious after getting out of the damaged vehicle on her own.
The wreck happened on a rain-slicked road at a curve where accidents have happened before. The Jeep came to a rest by a tree with a cross and flowers honoring a person killed in a wreck there previously.
Reedy's mother, Sonja Jones, rushed to the scene after getting a call from her daughter.
"It's scary. I've talked to her several times" about slowing down, Jones said as she surveyed the damage. "This will probably cure that."

Sometimes, experience is what it takes to learn a lesson. Just glad her injuries were only "minor". Also glad the accident didn't involve others.
