Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department officials have scheduled a public meeting for Thursday to discuss planned improvements to the Interstate 30/430 interchange.

The public meeting, set for 4-7 p.m., will let residents to hear about the proposed changes, which include adding a lane in the ramp that goes from southbound I-430 to westbound I-30 and creating ramps between the I-30 frontage road and I-430.

The plans also include an additional travel lane on I-430 stretching from Stagecoach Road to the I-30/I-430 interchange.

As a result of the changes, the Mablevale West/Otter Creek Road exit on I-30 westbound will move to the east side of the interchange, the Highway Department has said.

The meeting will be held at the Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department Central Office Auditorium, 10324 Interstate 30 in Little Rock. Those with questions may call the department's Environmental Division at (501) 569-2281.
