Budding flowers: The daffodils are blooming and downtown Camden is

gearing up for a weekend full of celebrating. The 20th annual Camden Daffodil Festival, March 8-9, will include home and garden tours, a 5K run/walk, championship steak cook-off, music, Civil War re-enactment, car show and

Budding minds: Children will have even more opportunities for fun, hands

on learning when the Central Arkansas Library System’s Children’s Library

and Learning Center opens its doors March 16. The 30,000-square-foot

library, complete with computer labs, teaching kitchen, activity area, theater

and study rooms, is at 4800 W. 10th St. and hours will be 10 a.m.-7 p.m.
