One found dead in submerged vehicle in White County

A person was found dead in White County on Thursday morning when a submerged car was recovered from the bottom of the Little Red River, authorities said.
Cpl. Steve Hernandez with the White County sheriff's office said a car ran off Highway 305 and into the the river about 8:20 p.m. Wednesday night. The White County Dive Team and other offices assisted in the search, which was postponed late Wednesday night until Thursday morning.
Arkansas State Police have identified the victim as Bronson J. Scott, 22, of Batesville.
About 11:30 a.m. Thursday, divers located the car with the deceased person inside and retrieved it from the bottom of the river.
Arkansas State Police has taken over the case and is investigating.
