Coleman Dairy shift to Hiland brand to begin this month

Coleman Dairy Foods will begin its rebranding under the Hiland Dairy Foods label this month, officials said in a news release.

Coleman has been a division of Missouri-based Hiland Dairy since 2006, and officials announced last year that the Coleman name would be phased out and replaced with the Hiland one. No workers are affected.

Hiland said in a statement that retail demand to have one label and one Universal Product Code across markets and states motivated the move, which will result in "savings for the retailer and the consumer."

“The only thing changing is the label on the outside of the milk and dairy product containers and the familiar milk splash image will remain the same,” Hiland President and General Manager Gary Aggus said in the statement. “Under the Hiland brand, Coleman is still the same, local, farmer-owned dairy that has delivered wholesome products to its customers for one-and-a-half centuries and will continue to produce milk right here in Little Rock.”

Hiland has 11 plants across Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska and Oklahoma.
