Mitchell Communications acquired by Dentsu Network

Fayetteville-based public relations firm Mitchell Communications Group Inc. has been acquired by Dentsu Network, a communications agency with headquarters in New York and Tokyo.
The purchase is Dentsu Networks’ first public relations acquisition and will be its opening move toward building a global public relations network, according to a Friday news release. Dentsu Network has 82 offices in 29 countries.
Elise Mitchell, Mitchell Communications Group CEO, will keep her post and will become an executive with and member of the operating committee of Dentsu. She will report to Tim Andree, CEO of Dentsu Network.
Mitchell Communications will remain based in Fayetteville. The company has annual gross revenues of $13 million, 75 employees and a network of more than 20 project employees in 14 states, according to the release.
Mitchell Communications’ clients include Wal-Mart Stores, Inc, J.B. Hunt Transport Services Inc. and Tyson Foods Inc.
The terms of the deal were not released.
