Arkansas State Police announced Friday it will form a committee to provide Arkansas school districts with a training plan for active-shooter situations.

Ken Jones, director of the Arkansas Commission on Law Enforcement Standards and Training, will be in charge of forming the committee and will begin the process in the next few days, state police said in a statement. The committee will be made of representatives of Jones' department, local sheriffs and police chiefs, state police and the Arkansas Department of Emergency Management.

So sad but now necessary thanks to the NRA and their lackeys amongst the politicians. Now we find that the NRA perverted the Affordable Health Care bill to fine Doctors who ask the mentally ills if they have a gun. I guess this was ASA's idea???
The NRA has also pressed for the arming of AMTRAK because of all the train robbers and shootings on the train. Also for weapons in National Parks because Smokey and the bears were getting out of control.
The latest caper by the NRA and ASA to put rocket launchera and militia at schools and have kids wear bullet proof vests is not going to fly.
