Arkansas Sports Hall of Fame announces inductees

— The Arkansas Sports Hall of Fame plans to induct eight new members.

The 2013 inductees were announced Sunday. They include: Marcus Brown, a West Memphis basketball star who went on to play professionally in Europe; Jeremy Jacobs, the owner of Southland Park; and former Arkansas golfer Stacy Lewis, who won four professional events in 2012.

Other inductees are: former Arkansas track and cross country star Frank O'Mara, who is now CEO of Allied Wireless Communications; Don Nixon, who coached basketball at the high school and collegiate level; Wyn Norwood, longtime golf coach at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock; and Sonja Tate, who remains the career scoring leader in women's basketball at Arkansas State.

John Outlaw, who coached high school football in Arkansas and Texas, will be inducted posthumously.
