ASU holds off Kent State for GoDaddy.com Bowl win, 17-13

— Arkansas State held on a 4th down with a minute to go to beat Kent State in the GoDaddy.com Bowl, 17-13.

Golden Flashes quarterback Spencer Keith attempted to scramble for the first down on 4th and 8 and was brought down three yards short, preserving the win.

The win is the program's first victory in a bowl since ASU moved up to the Football Bowl Subdivision.

Ryan Aplin was 21-for-30 for 213 yards and a touchdown passing for Arkansas State (10-3). David Oku finished with 37 yards and a score on 18 carries. J.D. McKissic led the Red Wolves with 11 receptions for 113 yards and a touchdown.

Keith, a Pulaski Academy product, went 17-for-33 passing for 157 yards and an interception and ran for 16 yards on six carries.

The Red Wolves totaled 285 total yards, including 193 yards rushing, to the Golden Flashes' (11-3) 350.
