LITTLE ROCK Christine Anne Pickard and Brian Jeffries Edelmann were united in marriage at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 29, in First United Methodist Church, Searcy. The Rev. Tony Griffin officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Mary Anne and Ben Pickard of Searcy. She is the granddaughter of the late Bill and Daveda Misenhimer of Paragould, the late Lee Andrew Pickard Jr., and the late Betsy Jones Shelton, both of Kennett, Mo.
Karen and Daniel Edelmann of Maumelle are the parents of the groom. His grandparents are Marguerite and the late Edwin A. Edelmann and the late Marjorie and Thomas Raley, all of Little Rock.
The chancel was decorated with urn arrangements of white agapanthus, English roses, white hydrangeas, larkspur and stock accented with silver curly willow. Music was by organist Bernard Raley.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore an A-line gown with an overlay of ivory lace and tulle. The bodice had cap sleeves and a scalloped lace V-neckline and the skirt had a jeweled silk sash at the waist and extended to a cathedral train. She carried white hydrangeas and ivory English roses.
Katherine Ann Lafargue of Shreveport was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Dr. Britton Smialek of Dallas; Mary McKinley of Spring Lake, N.C.; Rachel Curtner of Fayetteville; Rachel Harding, Rebekah Howe and Lacey Watts, all of Little Rock; and Ashley McConnell of Joplin, Mo.
They wore platinum off-the shoulder chiffon gowns with shirred bodices and shirred skirts. Their bouquets were filled with white hydrangeas.
Brett Frederick Hoffmann of Little Rock was best man. Groomsmen were Kent Hoffmann of Dallas; Daniel Edelmann of Conway, brother of the groom; Maxwell Farrell, Justin Martin, Dr. Ryan Martin and Nicholas Turchi, all of Little Rock.
A reception at Robbins Sanford Grand Hall in Searcy followed the ceremony. Guest tables were centered with tall silver fluted vases that held silver curly willow and clear bowls filled with white hydrangeas. Music was by The Blue Silk Band of Memphis.
The bride has bachelor’s degrees in political science and communication from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, from which she graduated with honors and where she was a member of Chi Omega. She also earned a master’s degree from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock in secondary education. She is a social studies teacher at Lonoke High School.
The bridegroom graduated from UALR with a bachelor’s degree in finance. He is an assistant vice president at Iberia bank in Little Rock.
The couple will make their home in Little Rock after a wedding trip to St. Lucia.
