— Emily Claire May became the bride of Robert Lindsay Bemberg Jr. at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 29, in Grace Lutheran Church. The Rev. James C. Walter officiated.

Parents of the bride are Paula and Gene May, 34 Perdido Circle. Her grandparents are the late Genevieve and Dr. Paul Hudgins and the late Sadie and Lester May of Hot Springs.

The groom is the son of Lydia and Bobby Bemberg, 608 McAdoo St. He is the grandson of Norma Ahrens Bisgood of Lonoke and the late Michael Bisgood and the late Lois and Herman Bemberg, all also of Little Rock.

Red poinsettias, natural wreaths and evergreens decorated the church. Music was by violinist Joe Snell. Program attendants were Katherine Webb of North Little Rock and Kathryn Watson of Houston.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a gown of her own design that she and her mother made. The ivory satin fit-and-flair gown had a strapless sweetheart bodice embellished with rosettes and a jeweled belt. She carried a bouquet of green hydrangeas, white garden roses and hypericum.

Audrey Adalie May of Little Rock served as her sister’s maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Carrie Binns, also of Little Rock; Sarah Casey of Birmingham, Ala.; Victoria Harpool of Nashville, Tenn.; and Natalie La-Groue of Innsbruck, Austria.

They wore purple dresses in the style of their choice and carried bouquets of green hydrangeas, roses and hypericum.

Michael Patrick McBryde of Little Rock served as best man. Groomsmen were Bradley Davis of Jacksonville, Fla., and Andrew Crone, Mason McBroom and Philip Bemberg, brother of the groom, all also of Little Rock.

Guests were seated by Gregory Baber of Little Rock; David MitchellJr. of Memphis; Matthew Moore of Fayetteville; and Taylor Sandusky of Atlanta.

A reception at the Arkansas Arts Center followed the ceremony. Guest tables were centered with wine bottles filled with gold branches and greenery. The buffet held an arrangement of bells of Ireland, purple stock, burgundy snapdragons, green hydrangeas, green roses, purple tulips and branches.

The bride graduated magna cum laude from Loyola University in New Orleans with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. She is a financial adviser at Merrill Lynch.

The groom graduated with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Georgia Tech, where he was a member of Sigma Chi. He is a purchaser at Bemberg Ironworks.

The couple will live in Little Rock after a wedding trip to St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands.
