— Wedding vows were exchanged by Dr. Rosa Selina Hayes and Harvell Lamont Howard at 4:45 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 29, in Morning Grove Baptist Church, Cordova, Tenn. The Rev. Colleen Gibson of Memphis, and the Rev. Rickey L. Garner of Union Baptist Church, Conway, officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Elizabeth and John Hayes Jr. of Cordova. She is the granddaughter of the late Rosabell and Raymond Winfrey and the late Virginia and John Hayes, all of Memphis.

The groom is the son of Kathy Heaggans and Carl Howard, both of Conway. He is the grandson of the late Ora and Harvey Macon and Hazel and Lehmin Perry, all of Conway, and the late Luther Howard Sr. of Russellville.

The sanctuary was filled with arrangements of red roses and calla lilies. Music was by pianist and vocalist Marsha Johnson and vocalists Brandye Williams and Simeon Johnson.

Given in marriage by her parents, the bride wore a strapless A-line gownof diamond-white taffeta and she carried a cascade of roses and lilies.

Serving as the bride’s honor attendants were Karlynne Dennis of Gallatin, Tenn.; Devon Golden of Hollywood, Fla.; and Zarinah Brown of Memphis. Bridesmaids were Fanta Gibson of Fort Smith; Ashley Armstrong and Meagan Dukes, both of Conway; Dr. Mashira Gallegos of Gainesville, Fla.; and Dr. Christy Williams of Cypress, Texas. They wore chiffon gowns and carried calla lilies.

Junior bridesmaid was Jada Brockman of Conway. Flower girls were Molly Wright of Memphis and Ava Stitts of Antioch, Tenn. Ring bearer was Roderick S. Hayes II of Memphis.

The groom’s honor attendants were Syvord Macon of Conway and Dante Garner of Fort Smith. Groomsmen were Roderick S. Hayes of Memphis; Quantrell Willis of Decatur, Ill.; Lamont Robinson of Conway; Lloyd Hervey of Chicago, Ill.; Alvin Webb of Euless, Texas; and Rodney Morris of Pflugerville, Texas. Guests were seated by Deadrick Wright, Melvin Isabel, Raphael Brooks and Jarrett Isabel, all of Memphis.

A reception was held in the ballroom of Holiday Inn University of Memphis.

The bride is a cum laude graduate of Xavier University, New Orleans, with a bachelor’s degree in biology. She received a doctor of dental surgery degree from the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry, Memphis, and is employed as a dentist at the Veterans Administration Hospital.

The groom is a graduate of Hendrix College in Conway with a bachelor’s degree in economics and business. He has a master’s degree in public service from the University of Arkansas Clinton School of Public Service and is pursing a doctorate in leadership studies at the University of Central Arkansas in Conway. He is a student development/retention specialist at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.

The couple will reside in Maumelle after a wedding trip to Mexico.
