Heber Springs man arrested, charged for raping girl

HEBER SPRINGS — Police have arrested and charged a Heber Springs man for one count of rape, according to a news release.
The Heber Springs Police Department arrested 25-year-old Matthew Tinkle on Jan. 3 after receiving a tip from the Arkansas State Police Crimes Against Children Unit that claimed Tinkle raped a girl under the age of 14, the release states.
The Sun Times in Cleburne County reports that Tinkle operates Tink's Tumblers in Heber Springs, where he is a cheer instructor. It also reports that Tinkle is being held at the Cleburne County jail on a $50,000 bond.
