Demographer to talk on immigrant study today

— A demographer is scheduled to lead a presentation about immigrants in Arkansas.

Randy Capps served as head researcher on a study that analyzes demographic trends and the economic impact of immigrants and the Marshallese population in Arkansas.

Capps is to discuss that report Tuesday at noon at the Clinton School of Public Service in Little Rock.

The Clinton School says Arkansas had fourth fastest rate of immigrant population growth from 2000 to 2010.

The report talks about that trend and the economic impact of the state’s immigrant population.
