NEW YORK The New York Fire Department says a crane has collapsed in the city’s Queens borough. It appears there are some injuries, but no fatalities have been reported.
The fire department got the call shortly before 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Long Island City neighborhood.
It’s not clear how many people might be hurt or how badly.
The crane was visible along the East River behind a big neon “Pepsi Cola” sign, a local landmark.
