NORTH LITTLE ROCK A North Little Rock man is accused of assaulting his girlfriend and then firing about a dozen rounds at her as she left their home in a vehicle Wednesday night.
Angelo Bakalekos, 37, is due in North Little Rock District Court later Thursday morning on preliminary charges of third-degree assault and aggravated assault on a family or household member.
According to a North Little Rock Police Department report, the victim told investigators she got into an argument with Bakalekos when he arrived home intoxicated shortly before 9 p.m.
Police say Bakalekos at one point struck his girlfriend in the face several times, knocking her glasses off, and later pushed her the ground. The girlfriend reportedly then got into her car and tried to leave the home, at 20 Meadow Oaks Court.
"Bakalekos followed her outside and stood in the garage where he fired approximately 12 rounds from his .40 Glock at" the vehicle, police wrote in the report.
None of the rounds hit the car, instead landing about 5 to 10 feet away in a grassy area, police said.
Bakalekos was booked into the Pulaski County jail, where he remained Thursday morning without bail pending his initial court appearance.

So - the gun did no harm, but she was STABBED with what we presume to have been an evil assault knife. So we must ban all knives. They are evil (or so they look in catalogs - good enough system of identification for Diane Feinstein).

Stabbed? Did they remove something? I can't find that in this story. Fired 12 times. What would you have been saying if he had hit her 12 time?
