LITTLE ROCK Officials with the Cedar Ridge School District say classes have been canceled at all three of its campuses after a fire at the high school in Newark.
Shelly Hendrix, an administrative assistant with the school district, said the blaze was reported about 3:30 a.m. She said she had no information on the extent of the damage or the cause, but said classes would be canceled for the three schools. Preschools will remain open, she said.
Several fire departments responded to the blaze and at least some crews remained on scene shortly before 7 a.m., Hendrix said.
"It's under investigation, as far as we know," she said. "Everything is up in the air right now."
