Man killed after truck hits tree in Pine Bluff

A driver was killed Friday morning in Pine Bluff after his truck ran off the highway and struck a tree.

The Pine Bluff Police Department said in a statement that Joshua Womak, 24, of Rison was driving a 2007 Chevy truck south on Arkansas 79 when he lost control near Faucett Road.

The vehicle ran off the highway and struck a tree.

Womak was dead at the scene.

Police say the wreck remains under investigation.
