JACKSON, Miss. Federal court records said Jory Sam Tantillo has been sentenced to eight months in federal prison in a scheme to purchase trucks, tractors and other equipment stolen from dealers in Alabama, Arkansas, Louisiana and Mississippi.
Tantillo was sentenced this week in U.S. District Court in Jackson. He and Michael Fralick were indicted in February of 2012 by a federal grand jury in south Mississippi. The indictment said that in 2009 they placed orders for the equipment they wanted and two other men stole it from dealers in Rayville, La.; Centreville, Miss.; and Magnolia, Ark.
Tantillo, of Tickfaw, La., pleaded guilty in August in U.S. District Court in Natchez, Miss.
Fralick pleaded guilty last fall. His sentencing is set for Feb. 26.
