— The search continues Monday for a Wynne police officer who is missing after falling into the St. Francis River.

Officers spent Sunday searching for 24-year-old Nick Swink, who was last seen at 10:30 p.m. Friday at the St. Francis Bay near the county line of Cross and St. Francis counties. Officials say Swink was with friends and not on duty when he fell in the water.

Cross County Sheriff J.R. Smith says Swink worked four years with the Wynne Police Department and was scheduled to start work next week as a deputy with the Cross County sheriff's office.

Smith tells The Jonesboro Sun that crews used a cadaver dog and an underwater camera Sunday in its search for Swink.

He said crews will continue searching until they find him.
