Between the knives and hot surfaces the kitchen is considered the most dangerous room in the house.
And for good reason: Knife accidents at home led to almost 330,000 hospital visits in 2011, according to the National Electronic Injury Surveillance System, a survey maintained by the Consumer Product Safety Commission.
