Arkansas unemployment rate up slightly

The unemployment rate in Arkansas rose to 7.1 percent in December, up from 7.0 percent in November, according to a report from the state Department of Workforce Services.
There were 1,355,000 workers in the state’s civilian labor force in December, down 8,500 from November, the report said.
The national unemployment rate in December was 7.8 percent.
