BENTON — Benton police are investigating a pedestrian accident that left one man dead after he was hit by a vehicle Saturday night.
The Benton Police Department responded to a call of a pedestrian accident near the 114 mile marker of the I-30 South Service Road about 9:30 p.m. Saturday.
Police say a vehicle, operated by 26-year-old Tim Chism, was eastbound when it struck 41-year-old Willie Donson, who was walking in the same direction.
Donson died from injuries suffered in the accident. The police report states Donson was wearing dark clothing.
Police say no arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the accident.
