Longtime banker, UA trustee Frank Oldham dies

Frank W. Oldham Jr., the chairman and chief executive officer of American State Bank of Jonesboro until it merged with BancorpSouth Bank in 2005, died Tuesday morning.
Oldham was regional president for Northeast Arkansas of BancorpSouth until he retired in 2008.
He also served as president and chief executive office of Worthen Bank of Conway. From 1990-2000, Oldham was on the University of Arkansas board of trustees — the last two years as chairman.
He was a finalist for the University of Arkansas System presidency in 2011.
