— The base commander of Little Rock Air Force Base has been recommended by President Barack Obama for a promotion to brigadier general.

Col. Brian S. Robinson, 19th Airlift Wing commander, got the nomination recently. Robinson is responsible for the organization, training and equipping of personnel who manage and operate more than 90 C-130 aircraft on the base.

The announcement, which came in a release from the base, must be confirmed by the Senate before becoming official.

“I am truly honored to be nominated for promotion to brigadier general,” said Colonel Robinson said in the release. “This would not be possible without the support of my wonderful wife, Maureen, my family and the tremendous Airmen I am privileged to serve with here at Team Little Rock.”
