Snow and ice are beautiful to watch, trickling down and accumulating on trees and grass — right up until the moment when the weight snaps a limb that takes out a power line and blacks out the electricity for blocks, writes Tracy R. Rodgers in HomeStyle.
January, February and early March are prime months for winter weather in Arkansas, and power failures aren’t uncommon. What can residents do when a massive snow or ice storm strikes and the power is out for days or even weeks?
