HARRISON - Pink Killebrew of Olvey, near Harrison, has prepared a plat of land in that town for the raising of skunks for the market. The skunk hide brings more money in the fur market than that of any other animal in this section, except possibly the mink, and their breeding it is thought will be a profitable business. A glaze of ice put Arkansas on its worst footing in years today. The deceptive, thin slickness forced stores to close, caused a rash of minor accidents and fall injuries and even closed down a radio station. White thrust the strongest jabs, sparing none of the other roasters. Arkansas is one of the few states in the nation where the gap between the rich and the poor did not grow wider during the 1990s. That finding comes from an analysis of Census Bureau data conducted by the Economic Policy Institute, a non-profit think tank in Washington, D.C. The study found that during overall prosperity in the 1990s, the rich got richer, concentrating a greater share of the nation’s wealth into fewer hands.
