A North Little Rock man was arrested Friday morning after leaving his two toddlers alone in his home with the doors open, according to an arrest report.

About 8:30 a.m., officers went to 218 College Park Circle in North Little Rock on a call about a possible stabbing. At the residence, they found two children in diapers alone in the home with all of the doors open. It was 33 degrees outside, the report states.

While police were at the residence, Javan Mance, 20, arrived about 9:55 a.m. He told police he ran from his home after his girlfriend chased him with a knife. He denied being stabbed, even though he had a small stab wound on his right arm, the report states.

“He never called 911 regarding his children being left with an armed girl in a state of rage,” the report states.

Mance was charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of a child. He was being held Friday evening in the Pulaski County jail in lieu of a $5,000 bond.

Facebook postings lead to tiff, arrest

A Little Rock woman scratched her boyfriend’s face after he confronted her over some Facebook messages, according to an arrest report.

Little Rock officers Thursday arrested Mahailyn Geans, 18, who was charged with third-degree domestic battery. Geans was taken to the Pulaski County jail, but was no longer there Friday.

Shortly before 5:25 p.m., Geans’ boyfriend became angry over some Facebook messages she had received, and Geans began to scratch his face, the arrest report states. Her boyfriend had a lacerated lip and redness on his neck when officers arrived, according to reports.

Geans told police she also broke a window on her boyfriend’s vehicle.
