— Little Rock Police are investigating a homicide that occurred at 2018 W. 18th St. on Sunday afternoon.

Police spokesman Sgt. Cassandra Davis said the 15-year-old daughter of the victim found her father bleeding inside the residence, and went across the street to call police.

Joseph McCardell, 38, was found on the floor and pronounced dead at the scene from at least one gunshot wound.

Davis said there were no signs of forced entry into the home and that it was unclear if there was a struggle inside the residence. Although several details are still unknown, Davis did confirm that the shooting appeared to take place inside the home.

Davis said suspect information or motives are still unknown at this point.

Police do have information on the suspect's possible vehicle, but did not release the information Sunday.

This is the second homicide this year in Little Rock, and the first criminal homicide.

There were six homicides in Little Rock at this time last year.
