Pine Bluff man dead in Saturday shooting

— A Pine Bluff man is dead following a shooting Saturday night.

Pine Bluff Police responded to a call of shots fired in the area of 18th and Elm Streets around 7:26 p.m.

Police say soon after responding, officers were sent to a nearby Church's Chicken where 21-year-old Sidney Farver, Jr. had drove himself. Farver was found with multiple gun shot wounds.

Farver was taken to Jefferson Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced dead at 8:30 p.m.

Pine Bluff Police says it is offering a $2,000 reward for any information that leads to the arrest of the suspect. Anyone with information is asked to contact Pine Bluff Police at 870-730-2090. Tips can also be submitted on the department's website at www.pbpd.org.
