LITTLE ROCK Stormy weather and heavy rain is in the forecast for Arkansas on Tuesday.
The National Weather Service said Sunday that Monday temperatures will be unseasonably warm, with highs in the 60s and 70s across the state.
On Tuesday, a cold front is forecast to push into the state, bringing widespread rainfall of between 1 and 3 inches. Severe thunderstorms are possible, with the greatest risk in the southeastern part of the state, where the weather service says the air will be the most warm and unstable.
Late Tuesday night and early morning, some light snow may be possible as the precipitation ends and the cold front moves through.
The Storm Prediction Center in Norman, Okla., said there is a slight risk of severe weather across Arkansas on Tuesday.
