ALVERTA MAY NEE ANDERSON HANNA, age 87, of Little Rock, passed away Jan. 24, 2013, at Little Rock. She was born on July 16, 1925, in Danville, Ill.; she was the daughter of George Anderson and Daisy Delores Anderson.

Alverta was a housewife and enjoyed Girl Scouts and being a Girl Scout Leader as well as playing the piano and organ. Alverta also liked music and pets.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her younger brother George Anderson.

Survivors include her husband of 66 years, Calvin Hanna of Little Rock; daughter Dolores Hanna Middleton of Little Rock; son Christopher Hanna (Bobbie) of Cabot and children Eddie and Vicki Nelson; nephew Brent (Amy) Illinois and children; and sister in law Shirley Anderson Illinois.

Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2013, at Pinecrest Memorial Park Cemetery in Alexander.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., Monday, Jan. 28, 2013, at Huson Funeral Home in Little Rock.

WILLIAM “BILL” C. INGRAM, 63, of North Little Rock passed away Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013. He was across country truck driver for many years.

Bill is survived by the love of his life, Cindy Ingram, of North Little Rock; his parents, William and Beverly Ingram; three children, Janice (Andy) Henderson, of Shenandoah, Iowa, William Eric (Sarah) Ingram, of Chesterton, Ind., and Jason Ingram and Jana McGregor, of Olney, Ill.; five grandchildren; a sister, Pam Baldwin; and a brother, John Ingram.

REBA JUNE MEYERS, 73, of Little Rock, passed away Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013. She was retired from Smokey Hollow Foods and was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

Reba is preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Meyers; daughter, Brenda; and her mom and dad.

Reba is survived by four sons; Bobby (Bonnie) of Mathiston, Miss., Rick (Mary) of Shannon Hills, Kenny (Lesa) of Little Rock, Mike of Sheridan; a daughter, Betty Ott (Alan) of Sardis; 21 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; one brother and three sisters; and other relatives and friends.

Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2013, at First Baptist Church in Shannon Hills with Reverend Don Chancellor officiating. Family will receive friends at the memorial service.

AMITY - Charles (Chuck) E. Hughes, age 88, of Amity, Ark. diedSaturday, Jan. 26, 2013. Charles was born Nov. 23, 1924, at Lennox, Ark. the son of John R. and Cora Shepherd Hughes. He was thirteenth of 15 children. He left home at the age of 16 to join the CC Camp atMt. Ida to help provide for his family. Charles would further go into the Navy during WWII. There he would see action in Europe, which included the invasion of Normandy. He was discharged in 1946 and would reside in California for 25 years working for McDonnell Aircraft and later in 1970 transfer to St. Louis, Mo. with Mc-Donnell Douglas and later becoming Boeing where he retired in 1989 with 43 years of service and retiring at Director level. Charles would find his true love and wife, Rose, in St. Louis where life would be enjoyed for 24 years until her death in 1995 and then moving back to Lennox, Ark. after 64 years. Charles would enjoy the peace he never knew as a child. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by five sisters, Mamie Evans, Myrtle Moore, Margie Henry, Isabelle Adcock and Ida Mae Butts, seven brothers, Daniel, Virgil, Woodrow, Harold, Harrell, George, Harrison, and two infant siblings. Survivors include a number of nieces and nephews and wonderful friends from years past from all parts of the world. Charles was a very special and unique person and will be greatly missed by all. Graveside funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 31, in the Brushy Cemetery with Donnie Lewis officiating. There will be no formal visitation. Pallbearers will be Roy, Gerald, and Ruben Fendley, Larry Inscore, Alvin Miller and Raymond “Bobo” Butts. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Brushy Cemetery or American Red Cross. BENTON - Earl Monroe Osburn, age 89, of Benton; passed awaySaturday, Jan. 26, 2013. He was born Feb. 18, 1923, in Schaberg, Ark. Mr. Osburn was a member of the 1 Pentecostal Church of Bryant where he was a Deacon and retired from truck driving after 47 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Oliver and Mary Belle Osburn; four brothers, Johnny and Robert Osburn and Gene and Leroy Thurber; and a sister, MandyMcNeal. He is survived by his wife, Helen Marie Osburn; three sons, Kenneth Earl Osburn (Nona), Ronald Glen Osburn (Cindy) and Albert Steven Osburn; eight grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; three greatgreat-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends. CABOT - Ida L. Hinkle, age 83, of Cabot, passed away Jan. 26, 2013. She was born at Austin, Ark., to F.D. and Maggie (Hefner) Dennis on Oct. 9, 1929. Ida married William H. “Bill” Hinkle on July 23, 1959. Sheworked for the Kellwood Company in Lonoke, Ark. for twenty six yearsas a Trainer, Line Supervisor, and Quality Control Supervisor. Ida is survived by her husband of 53 years, William “Bill” Hinkle; sister-in-law, Wanda Sue Brewer of Jacksonville; numerous cousinsand a host of friends. KENSETT - Margie Lee McDoniel Burge was born to Wilie Jamesand Liza Leona Conner McDoniel on April 10, 1915, in Magness, Ark., and received her angel wings on Jan. 26, 2013. Waiting in Heaven to welcome her were the love of her life for over 70 years, Reverend Moran F. Burge; her parents, better known as Daddy Mac and Mom Mac; siblings, Ora Belle Ragle, Adeline McDoniel, Juanita Caldwell, W. J. McDoniel, Elizabeth Ward, and Eloise Garner; and daughter-in-law, Lois Burge. Left here to miss her are her sons, Bill Burge of Springfield, Va.; Dennis (Linda) Burge of Durant, Okla.; and Hugh (Lou Ann) Burge of Judsonia, Ark. Also surviving are Margie’s sisters, Lorene McPherson of Heber Springs, Ark., and Josephine Gardner of Newark, Ark. Loving their sassy, feisty, little grandmother are six grandchildren, Frances (Don) Pease, Elaine (John) Algeier, Stormy (Terry) Reynolds, Chris (Oshana) Burge, Mandee (Brandt) Carmical, and Robin Burge who each brought a special blessing to their Grandma. In these later years, a gleam in her eyes came through the “great-grands,” Ashley Reynolds, Ryan Reynolds, Hailey Burge, Dillon Burge, Jack Algeier, John Thomas Carmical, and Kaitlyn Carmical. RUSSELLVILLE - Claire Young, 85, of Russellville, departed this life Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013, at the Russellville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born Nov. 11, 1927, in Clarksdale, Miss., to Cecelia Gole and Hugh B. Jones. At an early age, the family moved to Memphis, Tenn., and later Paducah, Ken. She was a public school music teacher, church organist and symphony performer. She was preceded in death by her parents and two sons, Charles “Bubba” Young and Dr.Mike Young. Claire is survived by her husband, Harvey, of Russellville; two sons, Harvey Jr. of Little Rock and David of Russellville; four grandsons; one great-granddaughter; two sisters, Mrs. Don Langellier of Lee’s Summit, Mo., and Mrs. Mary Beard of Martin, Tenn. She spent a lifetime in the fields of music and education. At an early age, she began taking piano and violin lessons. While attending Paducah Tilghman High School, she was a member of the school glee club, orchestra, and played French horn in the marching band. She attended Peabody College at Vanderbilt University on a music scholarship where she participated in the glee club and the Madrigals, a select group of a cappella singers who made extensive concert appearances throughout the South. After receiving her bachelor’s degree in Music Education, Claire taught music in the Norfolk, Va., public schools. She married husband Harvey and moved to Arkansas, where she continued her music career. She served as church organist at Park Hill Baptist in North Little Rock, First Presbyterian in El Dorado, Dardanelle Presbyterian Church, Wesley United Methodist Church and Central Presbyterian in Russellville. Mrs. Young was also a member of the Irving, Texas, Symphony, South Arkansas Symphony and for 40 years played the violin in the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra. She was honored to be selected to travel on a six-week tour of Europe with the Community Symphony Orchestra, composed of players from across America. In spite of being a teacher, wife and mother of four boys, she found time to earn her master’s degree in Music Education from the University of Arkansas. Her hobbies included playing bridge, reading and working crossword puzzles. She enjoyed travel, especially to Europe and Asia. She was a member of the Russellville First United Methodist Church, charter member of the Russellville Symphony Guild, Pope County Retired Teachers, SAI, an honorary music sorority, and Delta Kappa Gamma, an honorary education sorority. Funeral services will be held at Russellville First United Methodist Church at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2013, with private interment at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens in El Dorado, Ark., by Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.
