Pedestrian hit, killed in Cabot

— Authorities are investigating after a pedestrian was struck and killed while walking on a road in Cabot.

Cabot police say officers responded to the fatal crash about 10:15 p.m. Saturday. Police say the woman was walking south on Kerr Station Road when she was struck by a vehicle that was also driving south.

The woman was taken to a Jacksonville hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.

Authorities have not yet released the victim’s name.
