SEARCY Searcy Mayor David Morris has named a new police chief and he’s tapped the White County sheriff’s office for his choice.
Morris on Monday announced Chief Deputy Jeremy Clark would take the helm of the department, though his start date is to be determined.
Clark replaces Kyle Osborne, who retired last year.
The Daily Citizen reported that Clark, 33, has 14 years of experience in law enforcement, including five years with the Searcy Police Department.
Clark says his top priority is keeping the city’s schools safe.
