Club owner to be sentenced in money laundering

Helena-West Helena club owner Wayne Webb, who pleaded guilty in August to money-laundering, is scheduled to be sentenced in federal court in Little Rock today.
Webb faces four years’ probation and a $4,000 fine if U.S. District Judge D. Price Marshall Jr. accepts a plea agreement. Webb has admitted to earning about $90,000 from illegal gambling in his Queen of Clubs bar and restaurant.

Sounds like the good old boy deal being handed out. Make $90,000 and have to pay $4000 sounds like a deal. If I remember this club has had problems before. That area seems to have a lot of crap going on.

No, the $4k is a fine, on top of being required to pay income tax plus penalties. The article could have included that part so the confusion is understandable.

Got2Kids......Income tax and penalties?? You do realize that the $90,000 was illegally gained right? The whole $90,000 should be paid back!
It would still be a hell-of-a-deal if only probation and a $4000 fine and then pay tax and penalties on $90,000!!! This CROOK will still be about $35,000 to the good for being a CROOK!
Our judicial system makes it PAY to be a crook, a drug dealer, and a theif and that's why this country has so many of them!

Wayne Webb sells liquor on sunday out the back door of his honky tonk and runs illegal gambling operations, his son deals drugs in the community and was sentenced in the delta blues drug bust. Nice bunch of good ol boys. Scumbags.
