LITTLE ROCK Gov. Mike Beebe is expected to announce new jobs in Conway on Thursday.
The Arkansas Economic Development Commission said in a statement that Beebe would join local leaders and representatives from the unspecified company for the announcement.
It wasn't clear how many new jobs were being created. Conway Mayor Tab Townsell and Conway Chamber of Commerce CEO Brad Lacy are also expected to attend the announcement, which is set for 10 a.m. at 1111 Main St. in Conway.
Townsell did not immediately return a message seeking comment Wednesday afternoon.
These jobs come on the heels of an announcement Tuesday that a steel mill will locate in Mississippi County, creating hundreds of high-paying jobs.
