A man who was eating at a Denny's in Little Rock early Thursday abruptly left before getting his food only to return a short time later and rob the restaurant at gunpoint, police said.

The robber was in a group with another man and two women at the restaurant at 310 S. Shackleford Road shortly before 3 a.m. when all four people "quickly left before receiving their meals," according to a Little Rock Police Department report.

At least one in the group returned a short time later, pulled a handgun out and threatened to shoot an employee. He then took all the money from the cash register before leaving with the others in a dark-colored vehicle.

No arrests have been made.

Yes, I hear this guy was a card-carrying member who was remotely-controlled, through an RF device on his card, to walk out into the parking lot and pull his (legal) gun and rob the joint. In fact, I understand that La Pierre's voice was heard when this fellow opened his mouth.

ok now that you antigunners have rattled your brains, a question is it not illegal already to rob a denny's? did that law stop this robbery? would it have mattered if this crminal had used a knife, baseball bat clawhammer etc?

I'm thinking somebody's been watching too much "Pulp Fiction"

Honey Bunny: This place? A coffee shop?
Pumpkin: What's wrong with that? Nobody ever robs restaurants. Why not? Bars, liquor stores, gas stations... you get your head blown off sticking up one of them. Restaurants on the other hand, you catch with their pants down. They're not expecting to get robbed. Not as expecting anyway.
