One killed in LR shooting; two others hurt

Victims described as teenagers or young adults

— A 17-year-old girl was killed and two teens hurt when shots rang out Wednesday night at a Little Rock business.

Little Rock Police Department Sgt. Cassandra Davis said in a statement that the shooting happened shortly before 10 p.m. outside the Site Store at 4203 Asher Ave.

There, police found 17-year-old girls Jasmine Simone Young and Sydney Blocker suffering from gunshot wounds and learned a third victim, 19-year-old Kyron Richardson, had already been taken to the hospital in a private vehicle.

Young was taken to UAMS Medical Center, where she was later pronounced dead. The conditions of the other two victims were described only as non-life threatening.

Davis said the victims were shot while inside a white Chevy Tahoe. A fourth person in the vehicle was not hit.

Police say the gunman was a black male in a gold car. His motive isn't known.
