Sonic workers forced at gunpoint to open safe

Two men with guns forced a pair of Sonic employees to let them in the closed restaurant and then to open the safe Wednesday night in Little Rock, police said.

It happened about 11:20 p.m. at the location at 10500 Stagecoach Road.

According to a Little Rock Police Department report, the gunmen pulled one employee out of a car and confronted another as he was dumping the trash.

The men forced one of the employees to let them in the front door and then to open the safe. They took an undisclosed amount of cash, police said.

The employees were then both forced to get into a walk-in freezer while the robbers fled.

The robbers are described only as black men who were wearing dark clothing. No arrests have been made.
