3REMEMBRANCE Civil rights activist and author Simeon Wright will be the featured storyteller for a Tales From the South Tin Roof Project show today at Starving Artist Cafe, 411 Main St., North Little Rock. Wright is the author of Simeon’s Story: An Eyewitness Account of the Kidnapping of Emmett Till. Till, a Chicago teen and Wright’s older cousin, was lynched for allegedly whistling at a white woman in a small Mississippi town in 1955. 8 REPRESENTATION The Arkansas Arts Center welcomes two World War II-themed exhibits to its galleries starting Friday. “Wendy Maruyama: Executive Order 9066” tells the story of Japanese-American internment camps through replicated ID tags and artwork created from suitcases, trunks and other artifacts. Photographs taken across America just prior to the war are on display in “Edward Weston: Leaves of Grass.” Both exhibits remain on display through April 21 at the Arts Center in MacArthur Park, 10th and Commerce streets, Little Rock.
