Child, 2 women die in Pike County shooting

Authorities are investigating a Saturday night shooting that killed two women and a child, state police spokesman Bill Sadler said Sunday.

Officers responded to a 911 call of a shooting at 3489 Highway 301, southwest of Delight in Pike County around 7:05 p.m. and found Dana Hill, 33, who had lived at the residence and Julie Hartsfield, 54, of Waldo dead on the scene. Autumn Hartsfield, 9, was found injured and taken to a Hot Springs hospital where she later died, Sadler said.

Timothy Allen Hill, 43, who also lived at the residence was arrested at the scene and is being held in connection to the shooting. No formal charges have yet been filed.

Sadler said officers believe the shooting stems from a domestic dispute and that the investigation is still underway. No further information was immediately available Sunday.
