Crawford reports raising $99,000 for re-election bid

LITTLE ROCK — U.S. Rep. Rick Crawford has raised $99,185 for his re-election bid next year.

The Republican congressman from Arkansas reported over the weekend that he has $168,932 in the bank for his re-election bid. Crawford represents the 1st Congressional District in east Arkansas and is seeking a third term next year.

Monday is the deadline for federal candidates to file their quarterly fundraising reports.

No Democrat has announced a bid to challenge Crawford. The conservative Club for Growth earlier this year asked the public to suggest someone to challenge Crawford in the Republican primary next year. The group criticized Crawford for proposing a surtax on millionaires in exchange for Congress passing a balanced budget amendment.
